Taken at Chashakhand when the group’s ammunition ran out. Sentenced to death on 16 October 1915 and hanged at Balasore on 3 December 1915. He was approximately seventeen years old. He had earlier been arrested in connection with a separate conspiracy case.

Known as Niren, and a maternal cousin of Manoranjan Sengupta. The two were taken together, sentenced on the same day and executed together at Balasore.

Met Jatindranath in April 1915 and travelled to Batavia to negotiate German financial aid and arms for the planned rising. He survived the collapse of the plan, left India, and became one of the better-known Indian political figures of the twentieth century internationally.
